Actor Movies: Josh: Independence Through Unity, Sold Unborn Qaiser Khan Nizamani is a veteran Pakistani tv actor who is also the husband of Fazila Qazi, another popular television actress. Some remember him as the dashing young hero who became a television star in the early nineties, while some know him as the husband of Fazila Qazi, another popular television actress. Born on August 9, 1965, Qaiser was inspired to enter television by the late Shafi Mohammad Shah, followed by which he acted in a Sindhi play. However, it was his role in the play ‘Tapish’, directed by Sahira Kazmi and aired on Pakistan Television in the year 1994. Although facing some resistance in the showbiz circle early on due to his Sindhi background, Qaiser soon made his place as a television actor with serious talent. His other notable performance came as a Sindhi feudal lord in the epic drama serial ‘Hawayain’, directed by Haider Imam Rizvi and written by Farzana Nadeem Syed. Additionally, he starred in popular drama serials ‘Kasak’ and ‘Marvi’. He met his wife Fazila Qazi on the set of ‘Arzoo’ and later on even directed the play. Finding direction interesting, he then directed a number of television dramas. In recent times, his directorial skills were displayed in the telefilm aired on ARY Digital by the name of ‘Tumhain Yaad Ho Ke Na Yaad Ho’. The character he played in the private production ‘Yeh Zindagi’, directed by Sultana Siddiqui, also received much appreciation although Qaiser played a supporting role in the drama. After the introduction of private channels, he was cast in the drama ‘Ahsaas’ aired on Indus Television. His other noteworthy performances include ‘Buri Aurat’ and ‘Makaan’. In 2010, he starred in the Geo Television drama ‘Zeenat Bint-e-Sakina Hazir Ho’ that dealt with the prevalent issues faced by women due to the feudal system in interior Sindh. In 2002, he contested the elections under Shafi Muhammad Shah under the candidature of Pakistan People’s Party but both of them could not succeed. His role in recent Geo tv serial Saat Pardon Mein is being praised by masses.
